LiftReady Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy
Effective October 12, 2026. For people in Washington State (My Health My Data Act) and in other states with similar laws, such as Nevada and Connecticut. LiftReady is run by JAC Software LLC, doing business as LiftReady (“we”, “us”).
“Consumer health data” means personal information that is linked or reasonably linkable to you and identifies your past, present or future physical or mental health status. Our full Privacy Policy covers everything else.
The consumer health data we collect, and why
- Body weight history (every weigh-in, with its date and time) — to set and adjust your calorie and macro targets and show your progress.
- Workouts and training: your plan and seasons, workouts and sets, maxes and fitness test results, training zones without heart rates — to build and adjust your training plan and show your progress.
- Runs: distance, times, splits, elevation and the route recorded during a GPS run — to measure your runs and plan your training.
- Food: meals and nutrition, water and vitamins, and meal photos waiting for an AI estimate — to track what you eat against your targets.
- Activity: daily steps and active calories, and workouts imported from Apple Health — to match your calorie targets and plan to what you actually did.
- Profile basics and goals: age, sex, height and your goals — to work out your targets and plan.
- What you submit to an AI feature (only if you allow AI features): a meal photo or description, a nutrition label or menu photo, or the words of a journal entry you ask a reply to — to produce the answer. We don’t keep it after the answer.
- Stats and posts you choose to share: the training stats on your squad card, workouts or runs you attach to a feed post, and your progress in a group workout — to show them to the people you chose.
We use this data only to provide the features you ask for, to keep the Service secure and working, and to meet legal obligations. Not for advertising, marketing or profiling.
Your sleep, readiness and morning check-ins, journal, heart rate, heart rate variability, VO2 max, injuries, pain notes, medical clearance, allergies and progress photos are not collected by us: they stay on your own device and never reach our servers.
Where it comes from
- You: what you enter in the app or on the website.
- Apple Health, only if you connect it: workouts, daily steps and active calories.
- Your phone’s location, only while you record a GPS run.
- The app itself: targets, plans and progress worked out from the data above.
The consumer health data we share, and with whom
- People you choose in the app: the stats you put on your squad card, the workouts or runs you attach to a post, and your progress in a group workout or with a training partner go to the friends, squad members, workout members or (for public posts and cards) LiftReady users you chose. Run maps shown to others have the first and last 200 meters cut off.
- Google LLC (Gemini API), an AI provider: only what you submit to an AI feature after you allow AI features. On the free tier LiftReady uses today, Google’s terms let Google use submitted content to improve its products.
We have no affiliates that receive consumer health data. Google Firebase / Google Cloud stores and processes it for us as our processor (to run the Service, not for its own purposes). We never sell consumer health data, and we don’t use geofencing around places where people get health care.
Your consent
- Collecting: we collect consumer health data only as needed to provide the features you ask for, and with your consent: when you create your account (or sign updated Terms) you check a separate box consenting to LiftReady collecting and using your health and fitness data for that purpose. Connecting Apple Health and using GPS each ask for their own permission.
- Sharing: we share it only with your consent, which you give by choosing to share (posting, putting stats on your squad card, joining a group workout) or by allowing AI features.
- Withdrawing: you can withdraw consent at any time — stop sharing or delete what you shared, turn off AI features (Settings › Your data › AI features), disconnect Apple Health, turn off location, delete single entries, or delete your account to withdraw your consent to collection. We then stop collecting or sharing that data.
Your rights and how to use them
- Confirm and access: whether we collect, share or sell your consumer health data, a copy of it, and a list of every third party and affiliate we shared it with (with how to contact them). Settings → Your data → Download a backup gives you a copy at once.
- Delete: single entries in the app, or everything with Settings → Your data → Delete my account. Deleting your account removes your consumer health data from our servers at once and from our backups when they expire, within 30 days; we also tell our processor and anyone we shared it with to delete it.
- Withdraw consent: as described above.
- Appeal: if we decline a request, reply to our answer with the subject “Appeal”. We answer within 45 days and explain why. If we deny your appeal, you can contact the Washington State Attorney General (atg.wa.gov) or your own state’s attorney general.
To use any of these rights, email support@getliftready.com from your account email, or use Settings › Help & support in the app. We may ask you to confirm the request from your account email. We answer within 45 days (we may extend that once by 45 days if needed, and we’ll tell you why), and we don’t charge for it.
